VALORANT National League Launch!

Interested in playing competitive VALORANT locally?

National Leagues for VALORANT launching in Northern Europe!

We’re excited to bring you local National Leagues for VALORANT launching in August and September! A new update for Beacon moving towards a National tournament structure that brings with it new competitions for you to compete in.

National Leagues

There are 6 new leagues for you to join depending on where the majority of your team is based across Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Ireland and The United Kingdom. Each of the competitions have slightly different league structures but they involve weekly matches against other teams in your divisions, with wins granting you points towards an overall leaderboard.

At the end of the season, you’ll play in a playoffs with the chance to promote and relegate depending on your performance in the previous season. Check out local discords below for more information!

There are no rank requirements to join and you’ll be placed against similarly ranked teams, so matches tend to be closely fought competitions where either side can take home the victory.

For those looking to qualify for Challengers North Polaris we’ll have more information on the 2024 qualifiers soon but we’re aiming to bring the best teams from the National Leagues into the Eclipse qualifiers. Teams can also continue to play through Premier to qualify towards VCT EMEA each season.

When can we get started?

Sign ups are live for most competitions today and you can find details either in their local discords or sign up pages, which are linked below!

There is still a month before matches start so you have plenty of time to get your friends and teammates together as well as work on your line ups ahead of the first season.

What if I don’t have a team?

That’s not a problem! Local discords have a #looking-for-team channel where you can post your competitive experience and agent preference to find similarly ranked players and teams to start your competitive journey. If you’re looking for a final player to fill out your roster check out the #looking-for-players channel too!

What is Beacon?

Beacon is a competition for VALORANT that encompasses the whole of Northern Europe (Nordics, UK and Ireland). From August 2024 onwards it will be changing to a National league model and function as the umbrella for local tournaments in the four Nordic countries, Ireland and the UK. Each of the 6 countries will be represented by a local TO and continue to connect into the VCT EMEA system through Polaris and the Eclipse tournament.

FAQ:

What is Beacon?

Beacon is the Valorant Regional Circuit for Northern Europe. From today we’re launching this as a new National League system in 6 countries with local partners.

What’s the schedule?

Each league is a little different, but if you’re going all the way it’ll be roughly one night a week for your official match. Check your local country league for their full schedule.

Do I need a team?

Yes you’ll need to compete with a full team of five. You might be able to find team members or a team looking for players in each of the Discords so check them out!

Do we all need to be from the same country to create a team?

The majority of your team has to be in the country you’re competing in. For example you’d need at least 3 Danish players to join the Denmark league.

Do I need to be a certain rank?

No, it’s open to everyone! You’ll compete against people of your rank.

My team does not have a majority of regional players, will we still be able to compete in the new championship structure?

Sadly not, local leagues are locked to 3 of 5 players being based in a single country. If you’re still interested in competing with a mixed roster then the Premier system will allow you to also join the Challengers North tournament!
