We’re expanding the VCT APAC Game Changers program even further this year with the VCT APAC Game Changers Academy Mentorship Program!

This mentorship program is a VCT exclusive, on-the-ground training program that provides coaching and development to aspiring pros and talent. This year, there will be two mentorship programs covering Player and Talent mentorship.

Run in collaboration with FSL, SEA's premier women gaming circuit, the mentorship program will supplement and support the VCT APAC Game Changers Academy initiative which includes other programs such as monthly tournaments for newer players and an educational content series. PLAYER MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

The Player Mentorship Program is open to women and other marginalized communities or individuals looking to learn and gain experience as a competitive player.

Selected mentees can expect to learn and hone their skills in various aspects of the game, which includes fundamentals of the game, reviewing VODs and replays, improving on communication and more. The mentors will guide and coach players through monthly coaching sessions and workshops.

Duration:

• Intake 1: March - June 2022
• Intake 2: August - October 2022

TALENT MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

The Talent Mentorship Program is designed for aspiring broadcast talent looking to learn and hone their skills. This year’s intake is now closed with a total of 10 talent mentees confirmed to participate in the program.

This year’s mentees will be guided by their mentors through monthly coaching sessions and will have the opportunity to appear as an on-air talent for the monthly VCT APAC Game Changers Academy tournaments. The mentees can expect to learn fundamentals of commentary such as creating narratives, researching, vocal depth and range, preparing for a broadcast, creating a portfolio and casting reel, and more.

Opportunities to be a part of the talent roster for VCT Game Changers APAC Series will also be provided to mentees who have shown tremendous growth and improvement over the course of the program.

HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE PLAYER MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

The Player mentorship program has two intakes this year. Intake 1 has already been completed, however interested parties can register for the upcoming Intake 2!

• Intake 2 registration period will open on 11 July
• Successful candidates will be announced during the week of 25 July
• The Intake 2 program will run from August until October 2022

The Player Mentorship program is open to all participating VCT APAC markets.
