VALORANT will be arriving on PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series X|S in Australia and New Zealand on September 23!

We’re grateful for the growing interest we’ve seen in VALORANT on console over the past couple years and look forward to seeing our community grow further!

Players will be able to access the Sydney server on console starting from 10AM AEST on September 23. 

As part of the release process, we will be spending the next week finalising testing to ensure a smooth launch. For our most passionate console players, this means that the local console server will be temporarily locked starting from Thursday 17th September, 12AM AEST until official launch on September 23, 10AM AEST. During the testing phase, the game may be visible on local console platform stores, however, the server will continue to remain offline until launch. PC players will not be impacted. 

We want to thank our Australian & New Zealand community for their support so far and cannot wait to see players back online to celebrate the official launch with us on September 23. 

What time will the VALORANT console server be live in my local timezone? 

  • New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Tasmania: 10:00AM AEST
  • South Australia, Northern Territory: 9:30AM ACST
  • Western Australia: 8:00AM AWST
  • New Zealand Mainland: 12:00PM NZST
  • Chatham Islands, New Zealand: 12:45PM CHAST

Does VALORANT have cross-play between console and PC?

XBOX and PlayStation players will be able to play together, but console players will not be able to join games with PC players. We believe strongly in competitive integrity, and this is the best way for us to keep the experience fair and consistent for players on both console and PC.

How will progression work and will my progress reset after VALORANT is live on console?

Your progress will not reset. You’ll use the same account across console and PC, and any progress you make on either platform will stay with your account. This means your Battlepass progress, recruited Agents, purchased skins, and anything else you’ve already earned or purchased will carry over between console and PC.

Do I need to buy a subscription to play VALORANT on console?

No, you do not need a subscription to play VALORANT. PlayStation®Plus or XBOX Game Pass provide benefits to subscribers but are not required to play VALORANT.
