VALORANT Ignition Series
What is the VALORANT IGNITION SERIES: A series of tournaments created in partnership with players, teams, content creators, and tournament organizers from all over the world focused on building the VALORANT competitive ecosystem. This is the first step Riot Games is taking after launch to facilitate organized competitive play at scale by unlocking best-in-class esports organizations to experiment with a diverse set of formats and lay the foundation for competitive VALORANT.
Upcoming Events
Afreeca x Ignition: The Asia VALORANT Showdown is the first Ignition Series hosted in Korea and will feature competitors from five countries and regions in Asia. The event will see two brackets, a Pro Bracket and an Influencer Bracket play out over the course of three days, with the final of each bracket taking place on the third day. The tournament will feature a single elimination format with teams required to win a Best-of-Three match to advance.
GGTech x Ignition: The best teams from LATAM will play to decide who will be the Champion of the GGTech VALORANT Invitational as part of the Ignition Series. The event will consist of two invitationals, one for LAN (Latin America North) and one for LAS (Latin America South), with 16 teams participating in each. The Broadcast of the 17th of September will be the Finals of the LAS Tournament and the Broadcast of the 18th of September will be the Finals of the LAN Tournament.
RISE OF VALOUR x Ignition: A new era is beginning, with over $100,000 AUD in prizes to be won at the Rise of Valour tournament as part of RIOT Games' Valorant Ignition Series. Open to all Oceanic players, 10 broadcasts will be streamed LIVE from Australia's home for gamers with professional casters.

BLAST x Ignition: BLAST will join forces with Twitch this month to become the latest tournament organiser to host a VALORANT Ignition Series event in the company’s first venture into the popular game. Broadcast on twitch.tv/BLASTtv, the BLAST VALORANT Twitch Invitational will see four of the world’s top teams compete for a combined €50,000 prize pool over three action-packed online tournament days. Teams competing in the final tournament of the VALORANT Ignition Series are FunPlus Phoenix, NiP, G2 Esports and Team Liquid. The event will consist of a double elimination best of 3 format and a best of 5 final.
FTW x Ignition: The FTW Summer Showdown features eight amateur, professional and content creator teams that have been extended an invitation, with an additional four amateur team spots that were secured through a qualifier tournament. GALorants, a women’s VALORANT Discord community, hosted the qualifier tournament on Saturday, September 5 where the winning teams secured a portion of the $1,000 prize pot and the best four teams will face off against top female VALORANT players and streamers in the official $50,000 Showdown on September 11-13.
Pop Flash x Ignition: Pop Flash is the final event in the VALORANT Ignition Series for 2020 for North America and marks B Site’s very first event for VALORANT. Pop Flash, produced in conjunction with FACEIT, will feature four days of competition spanning August 26-30, and will feature B Site founding teams Cloud9, Dignitas, Team Envy, Gen.G, and Immortals. Sentinels, T1, and TSM will round out the field competing for a $50,000 prize pool.
LVL x Ignition: LVL Valorant Clash will see 16 teams from all over Europe fight for their part of the $5000 prize pool. Hosted by esports legend Khaldor and produced out of LVL, Europe's best esports venue, the Valorant Clash is a showdown of the strongest Valorant teams in Europe. The group stage will feature a BO1 Double Elimination Bracket Pools followed by a BO3 Single Elimination Playoff Bracket for the Top 8 qualifying out of groups.
Cyber Games Arena x Ignition: Cyber Games Arena has partnered with the Riot Games to host the VALORANT Pacific Open, a series of tournaments starting in early July 2020. The VALORANT Pacific Open is Southeast Asia’s entry in the VALORANT Ignition Series, which will spotlight a select amount of tournaments each week to help discover talented players and build global recognition for top VALORANT teams. 10 teams will emerge from the Regional Open Qualifiers and be joined by six invited teams at the Finals to battle it out for remaining prize pool of US $20,000.
Allied x Ignition: The Allied Esports Odyssey tournament will test the stamina and resilience of even the best VALORANT teams as they battle for their part of a 15.000€ total prize pool. Featuring six of the top teams in Europe, including four special invitations and two days of open qualifiers for the final two spots, the unique format of the Valorant Ignition Series: Allied Esports Odyssey, will put everyone’s skills to the test.
All six teams will play a BO2 match over the first five days, collecting three points for a win and one point for a draw – plus a share of the prize money. The top four teams will advance to the next round on Aug. 16, where a double elimination, BO1, GSL format will produce two remaining teams that will battle in a BO3 final match to crown the Allied Esports Odyssey Champion.
Mandatory x Ignition: The Mandatory Cup is the European OPEN tournament to not be missed. 128 teams, Platinum 1 minimum rank, will compete for a share of the € 15,000 prize pool. A true esports format, designed for the best players and the best teams of the European community.
The competition will start on Friday July 31 at 8 p.m. CEST.
RAGE returns for their second VALORANT Ignition Tournament. This event will feature 128 of JAPAN’s top teams competing for a cash prize of ¥5,000,000. The event will be held from August 1st to the 2nd with all the action available to watch on OPENREC.tv. FAZE x Ignition: The FaZe Clan VALORANT Invitational will feature both hand-picked and up-and-coming talent battling it out for the largest-ever cash prize package in the North American Ignition Series. Sixteen teams - including FaZe Clan’s VALORANT team in their debut as a fully announced squad - will compete not only to make a name for themselves but also to earn a slice of $50,000 in cash prizes, provided by Verizon and Nissan. It all starts on Thursday, August 6 at 2pm PT, on twitch.tv/faze and twitch.tv/valorant!
PAX Arena x Ignition: The PAX Arena VALORANT Invitational will feature 100 agents, 16 pro teams, 4 influencer squads, and one incredible race to plant the spike! With $25,000 USD and bragging rights on the line, North America’s best VALORANT players and streamers will take PAX Arena ONLINE by storm starting July 22-26. All competitors will be encouraged to livestream their own group stage matches so fans can track and follow their favorite players and teams. With a top tier caster lineup, this is THE summer showdown that you don’t want to miss!
Order x Ignition: The ORDER Oceanic VALORANT Open, presented by Logitech G, promises an epic, open format tournament with a $10,000 AUD prize pool and a laser focus on developing the local competitive grassroots ecosystem.
The tournament will field teams from a 3 Round Swiss format Open Qualifier designed for up to 1,024 teams from Australia and New Zealand. The Open Qualifier runs from 3-13 July, from which the top 16 teams will duke it out through a Double Elimination Group Stage on 17-19 July and Single Elimination BO3 Playoffs on 22-25 July, and their sights set on the Grand Final taking place on Sunday 26 July.
All stages of the tournament will be streamed on ORDER’s Twitch channel and will feature a diverse mix of the best casting talent in Oceania. Community casters can also apply to cast games on their own channels, and will be provided with a custom asset pack.
Vitality x Ignition: The Vitality European Valorant Open is a true open competition where 128 teams can sign in and battle each other to win 15,000 Euros. Follow @TeamVitality for additional information on the event and how to register.

WePlay! Esports x Ignition: The WePlay! with a $50,000 prize pool will take place from July 13 to 19, 2020. The event will feature six invited teams and two more will be decided during the Open Qualifiers on July 13 and 14.
The main event will kick off with an eight-team Swiss Bracket group stage. Top four teams will proceed to a Single Elimination bracket that will determine the winners. All matches are BO3.
The Gamers Club x Ignition: The Gamers Club ULTIMATE by Banco do Brasil will crown VALORANT's best team in Brazil, featuring a set of 4 open qualifiers on the premiered GC platform to complete its 8 competing teams, allowing new heroes to rise up as the country's very best.
G2 x IGNITION: The G2 Esports VALORANT Invitational is coming. Eight brave captains will lead their squads into battle, but with a catch! Captains will not know who they're playing with until the day before the tournament. Only one team will stand triumphant and ignite the flames of victory. Who will take home the glory? Find out on the 19th of June at 15:00 CEST.
RAGE x IGNITION: Japan's biggest eSport event - RAGE - will be hosting the first officially licensed VALORANT tournament in Japan under the VALORANT Ignition Series brand. The tournament will invite 16 teams with established reputation in game play and popularity like DetonatioN Gaming and JUPITER, and they will be competing for the winner-take-all prize of 500,000 Yen. The tournament will take place June 20th & 21st, starting at JST 15:00 and continuing to 23:00 on both days.
Empire Play x Ignition: Get ready for Valorant madness! For the 1st time, 8 of the top North African teams will battle it out during the Empire Play North Africa Valorant Invitational. Starting June 26 at 6pm (Gmt+1) follow the 3 days battle to see who will be the last team standing.
T1 x Ignition: T1 and Nerd Street Gamers are excited to announce the first North American event in Riot’s VALORANT Ignition Series on June 26 through June 28: the T1 x Nerd Street Gamers VALORANT Showdown. Hosted by the T1 VALORANT team and powered by Nerd Street Gamers, the tournament provides the rare opportunity for amateurs and aspiring pro gamers to compete against some of the biggest names in gaming. Two play-in qualifier events will take place on June 20 and June 21 where teams will compete to secure one of four open spots in the 16-team T1 x Nerd Street Gamers VALORANT Showdown and a shot at securing a piece of the $50K prize pool. The qualifiers are open to all gamers and those interested in competing can register at nerdstgamers.com/valorant.
GGTech x Ignition: The GGTech VALORANT Invitational will feature the top teams from Latin America. The event will feature two invitationals, one for Latin America North and another for Latin America South, with 8 participating teams in each. The Finals of the LAS Tournament will be broadcast on July 2nd and the finals of the LAN Tournament will be featured on July 3rd.
Cyber Games Arena x Ignition: This July 3rd, Cyber Games Arena brings you the VALORANT Pacific Open. Over the course of the weekend, qualifiers will take place across Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, and Thailand. Winners from each qualifier will advance to the VALORANT Pacific Open Finals in August.
