It’s almost here—VALORANT Console’s Limited Beta! We know you’re excited to get your hands on a key and hop into the game to start making those crispy one taps, but also know you might have a few questions.

Don’t worry we’ve got your back, below we’ve answered a few questions you might have about the Limited Beta, and we also have a handy article on our Player Support site which can be found here. We’ll also continue to update this page throughout our Limited Beta as things roll out, so be sure to check back.

VALORANT Console LIMITED BETA FAQ

Can I pre-download VALORANT on Console before the Limited Beta opens? 

  • No, we will not be distributing keys until Limited Beta is open, and you can not download VALORANT on Console until you have a Beta key. 

I have been banned or have a previous Riot account that has received punishment, can I still participate in the Limited Beta?

  • If you have a VALORANT account that’s received a permaban or your Riot account has been banned, you will not be eligible to play VALORANT on Console. 

How long will the Limited Beta last for? 

  • The Limited Beta is intended to help us make sure VALORANT is ready for you on Console. The Limited Beta will help us test our server performance, as well as some other things. We’ll end it once we feel confident in where the game is at. Follow our social channels for updates as we go!

What countries will the Limited Beta be available in?

  • Our first wave of the Limited Beta will be playable in the USA, Canada, Europe, and Japan. We will be rolling out to more regions throughout the Beta, so please check back here as we will update. If you are not from any of the initial regions we have listed, you can still sign up. This will ensure you’re registered if your region opens up during the Limited Beta, and will help us gather interest from all countries. 

Will I be able to play with my friends on other platforms?

  • Players on console will be able to play with other players on consoles, so Xbox players will be able to play with PlayStation players. Console players will not be able to play with PC players.

Can I use a mouse and keyboard on console? 

  • You will only be allowed to play with a controller while playing on a console. Controllers and mouse & keyboard are very different -- we want players to feel like their experience is the same no matter where they play, but need to make sure that it feels like they’re playing the same game as the people they’re playing against.

Do I need to buy a subscription to play VALORANT? 

  • No, you do not need a subscription to play VALORANT. PlayStation®Plus or Xbox Game Pass provide benefits to subscribers but are not required to play VALORANT.

Am I able to use my Xbox Game Pass benefits on PlayStation?

  • You will not be able to use Xbox Game Pass benefits on PlayStation, as they are exclusive to PC and Xbox X|S consoles.

What Agents will be unlocked for me in the Limited Beta?

  • If it’s your first time playing VALORANT, you’ll have a select few agents available, which are the same for all new players. If you already have a VALORANT account, all the Agents you have unlocked will be playable. 

What skins will I have access to during the Limited Beta?

  • You’ll have access to your full collection, if you already have one, as well as the opportunity to purchase any skins in the in-game store. 

If I purchase a skin or battle pass during the Limited Beta, will I be able to keep it?

  • Yes! This will carry over, and also reflect any skins you own or buy on PC. 

Are there any rewards I can get for being a part of the Limited Beta?

  • Yes! Once the Limited Beta ends, everyone who played VALORANT during that period, on Console or PC, will get a special player card!

What languages will be supported during the Limited Beta?

  • The following languages will be supported on VALORANT Console*:

    • English (US) 

    • French

    • Italian 

    • German 

    • Spanish (Europe) 

    • Polish 

    • Turkish 

    • Arabic 

    • Spanish (Latin America) 

    • Brazilian Portuguese 

    • Japanese 

    • Thai 

    • Indonesian 

*Please note that language availability does not denote which countries will or won’t be included during the Limited Beta
