IGNITE Showmatch: Pro-Coached Streamers Go Head to Head

Pro coaches train streamers in VALORANT IGNITE. Watch the live showmatch July 12 at 2PM BST.

London, July 8th 2025: In honour of VALORANT’s fifth anniversary, Riot Games has today announced VALORANT IGNITE - the first tournament pitting prominent VALORANT newbies against each other.

Taking place from July 9th to 12th, the tournament will consist of two teams each made up of five streamers with little to no experience in VALORANT - under the watchful tutelage of professional VALORANT coaches Sliggy and Mini.

Starting July 9th, each team will embark on daily training sessions with their respective coaches, streamed on all team members’ Twitch channels. These training sessions will culminate with a final showmatch tournament consisting of the best of three maps - including VALORANT’s newest map: Corrode.

Team Sliggy:

  • Sliggy - Coach: Former coach and current streamer for Team Liquid, Sliggy brings five years of professional VALORANT experience to his team.

  • Jukeyz: Jukeyz is a professional battle royale esports player and content creator for Saudi team Al Ula

  • SlimJadey: SlimJadey is an FPS streamer, presenter and TV gaming consultant based in Glasgow.

  • Emzy: Emzy is a battle royale sniping expert who likes to bring positivity to her streams, but occasionally rages when firefights don’t go her way.

  • Triple_G: Triple G streams a variety of genres, from MMOs to survival, but also hones his FPS skills on his streams.

  • PerriKaryal: PerriKaryal streams using her unique skill of playing games with mind control.

Team Mini:

  • Coachmini  - Coach: Professional VALORANT coach for Fnatic, Mini coached his team to three international trophies in 2023.

  • Gaming Merchant: Gaming Merchant is a battle royale expert who makes educational content about game mechanics, tips and tricks.

  • Sooshi: Starting out playing MMOs as a kid, Sooshi only became hooked on FPS games in the last few years, and now primarily streams a mixture of FPS games and hero shooters.

  • Emaerya: Emaerya is a top-ranked battle royale streamer from Northern Ireland, currently looking to make the step into esports.

  • Zyro: Zyro is a battle royale streamer who uses his platform to educate his community how to perform better in game.

  • Jhinxx: Jhnixx is a VTuber who streams a wide variety of games, including hero shooters and FPS.

Once the dust settles, the winning team will claim both the glory of victory and coveted tickets to witness the VALORANT Champions Finals in Paris this October.

Fans will be able to tune in to their favourite creator’s streams to follow them throughout the ups and downs of their training journey - and cheer for them in the final tournament.
