Riot Play Club is on Campus this Winter term!

Join up with your gaming and esports societies to take part in Riot Play Club this Winter!

Join Riot Play Club at a University near you this term!

Riot Play Club is all about meeting up in person with other Riot Games fans, playing your favourite games and joining in with activities with other players near you. This year, Riot Play Club is heading to more universities than ever before with a total of 39 uni gaming societies joining the crew, kicking things off at Freshers Fairs and then throwing watch parties for the VALORANT Champions Finals and League of Legends Worlds 2025 Finals.

Whether it’s your first semester or you’re back for final year there will now be more chances for you to meet other players, play more of your favorite games and join up for great League of Legends themed treats on and around campus. Check below for all the info on whether your university gaming society is involved with Riot Play Club

What is Riot Play Club?

Think of it as your go-to local gaming hangout.
Whether you’re looking for new people to play with because it’s your first year at uni, want to test your knowledge with your friends in our quizzes or want to vibe with old friends at local watch parties, Riot Play Club has you covered. Riot Play Club has a different theme every month, with new activities and competitions to get involved with aligned with the updates to League of Legends and VALORANT including casual game nights, quizzes, challenges, cosplay opportunities and a few competitive matches throughout the year. You might even get a chance to try out 2XKO, Riot’s new fighting game.
No matter your skill level, it’s about fun and community first.

So what’s happening at my University?

Your gaming and/or esports society will host at least one social Riot Play Club event focused around bringing Riot Games players together across the Winter Term. You can expect a relaxed evening of gaming with other students either in some casual matches of League of Legends and VALORANT, a mini-tournament with prizes or some activities away from the screen like testing your knowledge of the game’s lore or creating your own Tactibear. It’s about having fun, meeting new people, and feeling part of the local community.

You’ll also see societies at your Freshers Fairs and if you didn’t have a chance to sign up definitely message them on socials to get involved (linked below). Finally for both VALORANT Champions and League of Legends Worlds finals they’ll be hosting a watch party for local students! Plenty to look forward to in the Winter Term.
