Agent Cosplay Guide: Miks

Inspired by Miks as the newest VALORANT Agent? Want to bring him to life your own way? Don’t worry– here’s close-ups of the finer details of his kit for your perusal.

Miks is our new sonic radiant from Croatia. He’s the guy who raises the energy level of the group. He’s upbeat and motivating; he doesn’t meet people at their level, he brings them up to his. Sometimes that’s through playful ribbing that’s teasing a teammate, a much needed pep talk in a tough moment, or by using his sonic abilities to retune his teammates’ energy levels.

Miks is dedicated to keeping the morale high, and making sure everyone’s having a good time. Where other agents are about stealing the spotlight, Miks is about shining the spotlight on others. He is confident, he has swag, but at his core, he's a supportive character.

Miks is a radiant with the power of raw sonic energy. He releases radiant sound waves from his body, and the vibrations of these waves have a physiological effect on people.

He channels his sonic energy through high-tech gloves that can moderate or amplify the sound waves coming from his body. He also uses a device (his M-pulse ability) to alter his sound waves to produce different physiological effects (Concuss vs Heal).

For his ultimate, Miks activates the conductor (the circle part) on his gloves to amplify and release the full power of his raw sonic energy. When he releases sound waves, the blast of energy is high enough to cause deafening.

Miks draws inspiration from several sources, but we wanted his core qualities to strongly resonate with our Croatian players. Some things we focused on highlighting were:

• Loyalty to the people around them. Even friends are considered family. 

• Directness. They usually don’t sugarcoat anything.

• Humor. They love to laugh at themselves, at each other, and at everyday life. Maybe sometimes it’s a coping mechanism, but it’s also a way people bond with each other.

His shirt collar features a monster face inspired by Croatian folklore, representing the spirit and party animal energy in Miks. It’s a nod to his roots in the underground EDM scene, and reflects how he represents his community.
